Responsibilities

• Prepare and draw up oral medications into patient-specific oral syringes.
• Compound immediate-use sterile IV preparations under pharmacist supervision and in accordance with applicable policies and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver medications throughout the hospital, including stocking and replenishing Omnicell automated dispensing cabinets.
• Answer pharmacy phones, triage calls, and appropriately route questions and requests to pharmacists or other pharmacy personnel.
• Process medication requests and assist with medication distribution activities.
• Maintain medication inventory, perform stock replenishment, and rotate inventory to minimize waste.
• Support the preparation, packaging, labeling, and distribution of medications.
• Assist with controlled substance documentation and inventory activities
