Inpatient Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
Job Description
Compass Palliative Care, a leading California-based palliative care provider, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our inpatient team for a 4-month coverage assignment beginning in late July 2026. Our practice provides palliative services in the hospital setting in Culver City area.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients
- Provide palliative care to best treat the patient
- Define and document patient diagnoses
- Assure all patients are completely satisfied
- Patient and family education and management
- Notate findings and treatment course in patient chart, including follow-up notes
- Actively participates in departmental activities to improve training methods and achieve company goals
Schedule
Mondays through Fridays, 3-4 hours daily

Pay
$80.00 - $160.00 per hour
Qualifications
The practitioner will be assigned a specific patient load for which they will be responsible. Our palliative program is run by experienced and board-certified physicians who take pride in being able to provide training and in-service education to their staff. They believe in the advancement of their staff as well as creating the best possible outcomes for the patients they serve.
Requirements
Must have current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in good standing.
Skills
Strong clinical skills, excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This is a short-term, part-time position with the option for continued per diem work after the assignment.
