About the role
Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Evaluating patients' medical history and current condition.
- Developing personalized treatment plans to improve daily living skills.
- Assisting patients with disabilities to perform tasks and regain functions.
- Assessing home or workplace environments for potential improvements.
- Educating patients, families, and employers on care and accommodations.
- Recommending and instructing on the use of specialized equipment.
- Documenting patient progress and activities accurately for reports and billing.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of experience; new graduates encouraged to apply.
- Current NBCOT-OTR certification and state-specific license.
- Required certifications include BLS; additional certifications may be needed.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop comfortably.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
