Inpatient Mental Health Clinician

Job Summary

Mental Health Resource Center is seeking an Inpatient Counselor for the Adult Unit (CSU) at their Southside facility. The role involves conducting assessments, providing therapy sessions, and developing treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual, group, and family therapy sessions to CSU patients and families.
• Trains patients on functional, social, personal, and psycho-educational skills.
• Completes bio-psychosocial assessments and updates treatment plans.
• Documents patient progress and contacts with relevant parties.
• Affirms and monitors for risk, trauma, abuse, neglect, and abandonment.
• Communicates patient progress and concerns during daily rounds and treatment team meetings.
• Develops and coordinates resources for successful community functioning.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work or related Human Services field from an accredited institution.
• Valid Florida State Registered Intern (IMH, ISW, or IMT).
• Previous mental health experience with adult populations preferred.
• Valid Florida License (LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT) preferred.
• Certification in CFARS preferred.
• Ability to make independent decisions under pressure.
• Positive impact on the community.
• Interacts appropriately with various stakeholders.
