Inpatient Licensed Therapist/Counselor

About the role

The Licensed Therapist works as an integral part of Freedom Behavioral of Monroe/West Monroe's social services program, ensuring compliance with legal, organizational, medical staff, and regulatory agency guidelines. They collaborate with the therapy services, case management, education, and discharge planning teams to support patient well-being.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical supervision of individual, group, and family sessions as indicated in supervisor notes.
• Participates in the multi-disciplinary team and conducts chart reviews for quality assurance.
• Engages in discharge and after-care planning, completes discharge summaries, and documents clinical activities.
• Collaborates with the clinical department on discharge planning, documentation, and staff guidance.
• Reviews and completes psycho-social documentation, outcome studies assessments, and develops clinical notes.
• Offers clinical counseling services, including group, individual, and family sessions, maintaining an age/disability/cultural sensitive approach.
• Performs therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques as needed.

Requirements

• Must have an LPC, LCSW, or LMSW license in good standing with the State of Louisiana.
• Preferred: Three (3) years of full-time experience in psychology.
• Excellent assertive communication, writing, and organizational skills.
• Able to work under close supervision and complete therapeutic intervention/de-escalation education.
• Must successfully complete CPR certification.
