Inpatient Dietitian I, II, III - $10,000 Sign-On Incentive

About the role

The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our team. ANTHC is a non-profit Tribal health organization dedicated to serving Alaska Native and American Indian communities. This role is based at the Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC).

Responsibilities

• Develops nutrition care plans for patients and families in coordination with the health care team.
• Identifies and provides culturally sensitive nutrition counseling and education tailored to the patient's needs.
• Documents pertinent patient medical information for optimal nutritional care.
• Works closely with nurse case managers and the care team to ensure adequate nutrition provisions.
• Participates in medical rounds and multidisciplinary committees.
• Assists with on-boarding new staff and dietetic interns.
• Mentors Dietitians I & II with supportive guidance and feedback.
• Manages schedules and timekeeping as needed by management.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: All registered dietitians certified before January 1, 2024, need a Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition or related field with completion of dietetic internship. Those certified on or after this date must hold a Master’s degree and meet the same requirements.
• Experience: A NMC DIETITIAN I requires no experience; A NMC DIETITIAN II needs 2 years clinical nutrition experience or equivalent; A NMC DIETITIAN III needs 5 years clinical nutrition experience or equivalent.
• Certification: A NMC DIETITIAN I does not require a state dietitian license; A NMC DIETITIAN II requires a state dietitian license within six months of hire and a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration within six months of hire. A NMC DIETITIAN III requires two board-certified nutritionally relevant credentials within six months of hire.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $55,764.80 - $108,326.40 annually. Pay rates may vary depending on experience.
