Inpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

About the role

The role involves serving as a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist on the inpatient team at a pediatric medical center, providing expert evaluation and treatment for children and adolescents (ages 6-17) within a trauma-informed, family-centered, multidisciplinary model.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with a team of psychologists, nurses, social workers, and therapists
  • Participating in on-call coverage
  • Engaging in interdisciplinary education

Schedule

The position offers flexibility, combining 0.5 FTE inpatient psychiatry with 0.5 FTE in outpatient, community, or liaison psychiatry based on interests and program needs.

Qualifications

  • Unrestricted medical license in Texas
  • Board certification or eligibility in general and child/adolescent psychiatry
  • Eligibility for credentialing
  • Demonstrated leadership, teaching, and communication skills
  • Ability to motivate teams
