Inpatient Care Management Medical Director - Remote

About the role

This role provides clinical leadership for inpatient care management activities, focusing on evidence-based decision‑making and collaboration across clinical, operational, and business stakeholders. It guides quality initiatives, provider engagement, and market‑level oversight in a coordinated healthcare environment. The position is remote (US‑based candidates only, no visa sponsorship) and requires partnership with internal leadership and treating providers to support effective care delivery outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Participate in telephonic outreach for collaboration with treating providers
• Collaborate with operational and business partners on clinical and quality initiatives
• Apply evidence-based medicine (EBM) in decision-making
• Participate in market oversight meetings with Chief Medical Officers and internal teams
• Maintain proficiency in required software and platforms

Qualifications

• MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license
• Current Board Certification in an ABMS or AOBMS specialty
• 5+ years of clinical practice experience post residency
• Technical proficiency in computer software and systems
• Demonstrated ability to participate in rotational call and holiday coverage
• Private home office and access to high-speed Internet

Pay

$248,500 – $373,000 annually
