New Responsibilities

  • Technical review of all projects within the three decarbonization pillars: Behind the Meter Decarbonization, Innovation in Operations, and Clean Fuels.
  • Technical writing of business cases and presentations for emerging technologies.
  • Ability to simplify complex technologies into core ideas.
  • Adhere to NJNG PMO Process and Controls Framework.
  • Continuously track and update all studies, projects, and emerging technologies.
  • Support sustainability policy research needs, with an emphasis on technical and pragmatic solutions for sustainability and decarbonization.
  • Meet with industry leaders to identify and showcase potential NJNG initiatives and how they could be integrated into the NJNG decarbonization strategy.
  • Assess impacts of proposed internal initiatives to NJNG or societal greenhouse gas emissions reductions and progress toward goals.
  • Investigate and provide technical analysis of vendor claims to determine true applicability of new and emerging technologies.
  • Engineer test scenarios to evaluate, measure, and verify equipment capabilities.
  • Assist in the construction management of projects to ensure that projects are installed in accordance with the contract, the design drawings, and best practices.
  • Conduct field inspections during all stages of development through operations to interpret engineering design into an operable plant.
  • Develop and respond to RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
  • Adapt to continuously shifting priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferably in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3 to 5 years of clean energy experience.
  • Demonstrated research and analytical skills to evaluate complex technical information and support business case development.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work both independently and as part of team to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems while effectively managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to implement, manage, and evaluate complex programs and initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and apply emerging technologies to advance decarbonization objectives.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
