About the role
We're seeking high-impact engineers to design and manage fulfillment and distribution systems. You'll collaborate internally and externally, working on a variety of projects from concept to completion, and supporting the installation and commissioning of systems.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to design high-quality, cost-effective solutions for fulfillment and distribution systems.
- Own multiple projects simultaneously, from concept realization through design approval.
- Be the primary technical contact for suppliers on your projects.
- Support the Ops Engineering team in ensuring successful installation, commissioning, and launch of your designed systems.
- Work on green-field, brown-field, and retrofit projects, including highly automated fulfillment centers, cross-dock facilities, and transportation centers.
- Engage with a team of skilled engineers in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Requirements
- Experience in managing engineering design projects.
- Experience in engineering and estimating material handling and storage systems.
- Experience running SQL queries and data mining.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent 3+ years of experience in Design/Innovation, research & development, manufacturing, process, industrial engineering, or related fields.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering (any domain) or foreign equivalent, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Knowledge of system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making.
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems and high-speed manufacturing.
- Experience with design-in-safety.
- Experience with process design based on Lean Principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering (any domain) or foreign equivalent, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
