About the role

We're seeking high-impact engineers to design and manage fulfillment and distribution systems. You'll collaborate internally and externally, working on a variety of projects from concept to completion. You'll work closely with suppliers and the Ops Engineering team to ensure successful installations and launches.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to design high-quality, cost-effective solutions for fulfillment and distribution systems.
  • Own multiple projects simultaneously, from concept realization through design approval.
  • Be the primary technical contact for suppliers on your projects.
  • Support the Ops Engineering team to ensure the successful installation, commissioning, and launch of your designed systems.
  • Work on green-field, brown-field, and retrofit projects, including highly automated fulfillment centers, cross-dock facilities, and transportation centers.
  • Design systems using both template-based and custom designs.
  • Collaborate with a team of skilled engineers in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Requirements

  • Experience in managing engineering design projects.
  • Experience in engineering and estimating material handling and storage systems.
  • Experience running SQL queries and data mining.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent 3+ years of experience in Design/Innovation, research & development, manufacturing, process, industrial engineering, or related fields.
  • Master's degree in Engineering (any domain) or foreign equivalent, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making.
  • Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems and high-speed manufacturing.
  • Experience with design-in-safety.
  • Experience with process design based on Lean Principles.
