The Inn at Mattei’s Tavern, a charming property in Los Olivos, offers 67 luxurious guest rooms, cottages, and suites designed to blend modern farmhouse aesthetics with the spirit of nearby ranch life. Originally a stagecoach stop in the late 1800s and a social hub in the 1930s, the inn now serves as a vibrant retreat, featuring farm-to-table dining, a luxurious spa, and engaging experiences.

About the role

As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a memorable and positive experience from check-in to check-out. You will manage the Guest program, handle room reservations, process payments, and serve as a central communication link between guests and other hotel departments.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival and facilitate smooth check-in/check-out processes
• Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and policies
• Reach out to guests prior to arrival and communicate any special requests or accommodations
• Handle room reservations, confirm guest details, and assign rooms
• Address guest inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally
• Process payments, verify payment information, and handle financial transactions accurately
• Serve as a central point of communication, relay messages between guests and other hotel departments, and maintain accurate records of guest interactions and requests

Qualifications

• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Exceptional follow through and attention to detail
• Previous Guest Services experience preferred (1 year in a similar role)
• Experience using Opera, Unifocus, Google, Trip Advisor, Yelp, and Opentable a plus
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Pleasant and professional phone demeanor
• Willingness to work holidays and weekends as business levels dictate
• Ability to take on new responsibilities and roles as the position demands, whether they are administrative or operationally based

$23.34/hour
