Ink Maker

About the role

This role offers a starting pay range of $21 to $24 per hour, with actual compensation based on qualifications such as experience, education, certifications, and skills, as well as geographic considerations. Responsibilities

• Follow batch instructions to weigh batches, charge, and mix inks.
• Understand proper mixing procedures and raw materials.
• Monitor temperature and mix speeds, adjusting as needed.
• Follow procedures for milling inks, adjusting pump speeds and mill rates.
• Filter, package, and label inks according to procedures.
• Make QC adjustments as instructed.
• Weigh quantities of raw materials for manufacturing high-quality printing ink.
• Operate one or more mixers safely and efficiently to mix raw materials.
• Package the finished product.
• Operate a forklift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 6 months of previous manufacturing experience.
• Forklift experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic math, communications, and mechanical skills.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Suite (MS Office) programs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of 5S workplace practices.
• Knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
• Ability to work 10-hour shifts.
• Ability to work overtime and on weekends.

Pay

Starting pay range of $21 to $24 per hour, with actual compensation based on qualifications and geographic considerations. Shift differentials apply when applicable.

Schedule

Ability to work 10-hour shifts, overtime, and weekends may be required.
