Injection Molding Technician

Responsibilities

• Set up plastic injection molding machines and related auxiliary equipment as specified by Engineering.
• Install molds, set machine parameters (temperature, pressure, time), and connect auxiliary equipment.
• Monitor runs, make real-time adjustments to maintain quality, and document changes.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with machines, molds, materials, or processes to prevent defects.
• Inspect parts for defects, ensuring they meet internal and external standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance (cleaning, lubricating) and report needed repairs on molds and equipment.
• Adhere to safety protocols (OSHA, Lockout/Tagout) and maintain a clean work area (5S).
• Support the supervision of production associates.

Requirements

• 2 Year Technical Degree or enrolled in a technical class, or equivalent related experience.
• 2 years of experience as a Manufacturing Technician is a plus.
• Strong electrical aptitude with the ability to work with vendors and suppliers.
• Strong influencing skills and a flexible work ethic.

Skills

• Proficiency with CAD platforms such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and Pro Engineering.
