Injection Molding Operator (Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials)

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor plastic injection molding machines.
• Perform and support mold changes and basic mold maintenance as directed.
• Maintain working knowledge of injection molding machinery and related auxiliary equipment (dryers, oil heaters, water heaters, etc.).
• Monitor daily production to ensure adherence to quality standards and production targets.
• Identify and report molding or process issues to the Production Supervisor promptly.
• Support efforts to minimize downtime and optimize machine performance.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in accordance with company safety standards.
• Complete required production documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with team members to support lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
• Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities to improve process performance.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Motivated, dependable team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Willingness to learn various machine setups and process adjustments.
• Flexibility to work different shifts as required.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Able to follow detailed instructions and complete required paperwork accurately.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety practices and workplace standards.
• Exceptional attendance and punctuality.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Lean Manufacturing and ISO 9001 experience preferred.

Pay

The salary for this position starts at $21.71. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
