Injection Molding Operator (Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials)
Location: Mesa, AZ
Shift: Monday–Friday, 4:30 AM–1:00 PM
About the role
The Injection Molding Operator provides day-to-day support to the Molding Department to ensure the timely execution of production jobs. This role promotes KAITEKI values by fostering a positive, safe, and collaborative work environment that supports a stable, growing, and continuously improving workforce. The Operator is responsible for maintaining efficient production processes, minimizing downtime, and ensuring a clean and orderly production area.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor plastic injection molding machines.
- Perform and support mold changes and basic mold maintenance as directed.
- Maintain working knowledge of injection molding machinery and related auxiliary equipment (dryers, oil heaters, water heaters, etc.).
- Monitor daily production to ensure adherence to quality standards and production targets.
- Identify and report molding or process issues to the Production Supervisor promptly.
- Support efforts to minimize downtime and optimize machine performance.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in accordance with company safety standards.
- Complete required production documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with team members to support lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities to improve process performance.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Motivated, dependable team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Willingness to learn various machine setups and process adjustments.
- Flexibility to work different shifts as required.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and complete required paperwork accurately.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety practices and workplace standards.
- Exceptional attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Lean Manufacturing and ISO 9001 experience preferred.
Pay
The salary for this position starts at $21.71 per hour. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
