Injection Mold Process Technician

About the role

The employee will be performing various job duties including but not limited to:

• Mold testing of single and multi-cavity molds and stack molds
• Processing new and refurbished molds to customer specifications
• Trouble shooting during in house mold testing
• Assembling and disassembling molds in the testing machine to troubleshoot
• Assembling / disassembling and fitting of molds during slow periods
• Measuring and dissecting tested parts to produce a Quality Assurance report (knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and AutoCAD an asset but training will be available)
• Onsite customer assistance and in-house customer technical support and commissioning of molds

Qualifications

• Completion of College diploma and/or combination of education and equivalent work experience
• Minimum 5 years of Injection molding setup and processing experience
• Experience in mold testing and mold machine setup is required
• Experience with HUSKY machine is preferred
• Experience or Knowledge of Ms. Office and AutoCAD preferred
• Mechanical ability and understanding of engineering principles
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
• Able to work in a team as well as independently
• Availability to work different shifts and weekends when required
