Injection Mold Process Technician

Responsibilities

  • Assist in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing production equipment.
  • Support machine enhancements and development in coordination with Engineering.
  • Aid in the design and testing of manufacturing equipment and systems.
  • Use CAD software to assist in tooling and test system design.
  • Help coordinate purchases with suppliers for tooling and test systems.
  • Maintain and calibrate production machinery including CNC machines, PLCs, and automated tools.
  • Support process validation and equipment qualification activities.
  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance productivity and product quality.
  • Absorb modifications to tooling, fixtures, and procedures for manufacturability.
  • Conduct basic time studies and data collection for lean initiatives.
  • Help create and maintain manufacturing documentation (SOPs, work instructions, change orders).
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, GMP, OSHA, and ESD standards.
  • Support audits and inspections with accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, quality, and production.
  • Participate in training and development activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 0–3 years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with PC and Windows-based software.
  • Exposure to engineering drawings and CAD tools (2D/3D).
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar software.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow professionally

Essential Job Functions

  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Able to use pallet jack with 300-pound load.
  • Able to use portable staircase and climb to 12-foot heights.
  • Able to carry 20 pound/ 3 cubic feet boxes up and down portable staircase.
  • Able to push a 4-wheeled cart with a 100-pound load.
  • Able to work a 6-day week, if required.
  • Able to stand or sit continually for four hours without a break.
  • Regular and on-time attendance.
