As an InHouse Technician you will perform a broad range of technical tasks pertaining to daily ink room management and operation under the direction of the Ink Room Manager. Job Responsibilities Assists customer with ink room operations.Coordinates job set up for presses.Formulates and blends inks as required.Maintains inventory control standards.Organizes inks for press runs.Returns inks from press to appropriate area.Performs press-side color matching.Operates color computer.Other duties as assigned. Requirements Experience working with solvent ink is strongly preferred.Color matching ability and knowledge of inks and films preferred.Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills; as well as a demonstrated initiative in problem solving/troubleshooting required.Knowledge of basic computer operating and a good working knowledge of IMS.Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to write simple correspondenceFollow all safety procedures, environmental requirements, permit conditions, and safe work practices; use required PPE; maintain a clean and hazard-free work area; properly manage materials and wastes; promptly report spills, incidents, hazards, and compliance concerns; and participate in inspections, investigations, audits, and continuous improvement activities.
