INGENYX-Plant Controller
Ingenyx proudly launched as a new, independent company following its divestiture from Teleflex on August 3, 2026. Ingenyx is a leading global provider of product development and production services for medical device manufacturers, delivering industry-changing innovations and next-generation solutions for extrusions; diagnostic and interventional catheters; balloons and balloon catheters; sheath/dilator sets; specialty sutures, braids and fibers; and bioabsorbable sutures, yarns and resins.
This position is located in Jaffrey, NH and reports to the VP FP&A. Expected travel: up to 10%.
About the Role
As a business partner with plant management and a financial leader on site, you will focus on plant-related accounting, product costing, cost center management, capital projects, and inventory management. You will lead the financial staff at the plant and be accountable for general ledger accounting, cost accounting, manufacturing variance management, capital and inventory accounting, financial reporting, and financial analysis for capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Success is measured by delivering fast, reliable financial information, improving cash performance, and driving cost and operational improvements.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an active member of the Plant Leadership Team and trusted advisor to key leaders on site.
- Analyze and report monthly financial and operational results to plant and corporate management.
- Track and report critical KPIs (e.g., SQDIP/C) through easy-to-understand dashboards.
- Prepare monthly rolling forecasts and the annual operating plan for the plant.
- Control costs, including budget preparation, actual-budget analyses, and proactive input for cost improvements.
- Ensure compliance with the Company’s global costing methodology and accurate profitability calculations per production line and product.
- Monitor expenditures for capital projects, including budget-actual analyses and financial input for proposals.
- Recruit, develop, and coach a talented plant finance team; monitor performance and provide continuous feedback.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including legal entity balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain approval and tracking of site EBITDA add-back items.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial transactions, transmissions, and reporting.
- Oversee physical inventory and cycle counts; investigate and explain book-to-physical adjustments.
- Audit bills of materials quarterly to ensure accurate product costs.
- Maintain integrity of material master data to ensure ERP transactions reflect production operations and costing.
- Maintain perpetual inventory for raw materials and finished goods; reconcile weekly with production, shipping, and returns.
- Attend daily plant production meetings and perform walkthroughs with the Plant Manager to discuss production and costing issues.
- Review labor reporting, material costs, manufacturing overhead, distribution costs, returns, and inventory levels.
- Maintain and report on plant fixed assets, including GAAP roll forwards, tax book values, and property tax reporting.
- Conduct formal meetings with key departments to discuss plant issues and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Document and understand SAP systems, processes, and reporting conventions.
- Analyze potential excess and obsolete inventory items monthly.
- Assess internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate reporting.
- Ensure adherence to US GAAP; resolve questions with corporate financial management.
- Provide ad hoc support for special projects.
Requirements
- B.S. in Accounting or Business Administration preferred; CPA/CMA certification desired.
- 5-10 years as a plant controller or cost manager in a manufacturing environment, with staff management experience.
- High proficiency in Excel and SAP required; experience with ERP system implementations and IFS system desirable.
- Proficient knowledge of US-GAAP.
- Demonstrated leadership as part of a cross-functional plant management team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Industry experience is desirable but not required if broad experience is present.
- Experience in a private equity environment is a plus.
