INGENYX- Film Wire Drawing Operator- 2ND SHIFT

About the role

This position is the first building block of our products. Wire Drawing feeds products throughout the departments manufactured to customer specification. This position will be trained on all wire drawing equipment in Insulated and Non-Insulated departments along with the respooling equipment in the Tubing area.

Responsibilities

• Operates and adjusts machine/equipment to SOP as trained.
• Follow shop packet instructions to set up machinery to manufacture product to customer specifications and apply required labeling.
• Understands and uses measuring equipment, calipers, micrometers, rulers, test equipment, scales, counters, die string set up, and other gauging following prescribed procedures to meet high quality specifications.
• Inspect start-up sample for proper diameter, resistance, concentricity, surface, and appearance.
• Adhere to QA procedures and requirements to ensure product quality and recognize when to notify quality.
• Review process documentation, make corrections, and sign off on production orders.
• String fine wire through die sequence and capstan.
• Follow safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping practices, and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Adhere to environmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is strongly preferred.
• Basic math (addition, subtraction, and division) and assembly skills.
• Good interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read and write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Computer skills (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work as part of an effective team.
• Must be able to distinguish color and have good vision for inspection purposes.
• Familiarity with QA procedures.

Physical Demands

• Standing consistently.
• Constant lifting up to 30 lbs maximum.
• Move 200-pound reels with aid of material handling device.
• Occasional use of stairs.
• Reaching, grasping, pulling, and pushing.
• Awareness of safety protocols and environmental policies.
