Purpose
Provides support for Infusion leadership and the Infusion department by leading and coordinating administrative work, scheduling, and projects. Performs various administrative functions requiring in-depth knowledge of departmental programs, operations and services and infusion policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Interacts and communicates with physicians, nurses, support staff, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate departmental operations
- In charge of scheduling for infusion nurses
- Time keeping data entry and verification for payroll
- Maintains nurse employee records including compliance and licensing
- Coordinates nurse scheduling with third party contractors
- Communication with GIA infusion department personnel regarding various departmental needs
- Maintain and manage data and generate reports from applicable systems to support departmental efforts
- Manage administrative tasks for infusion department
- Maintains current knowledge of applicable health care compliance and privacy requirements and company's compliance and privacy policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education: High School/GED diploma required. Associates Degree from an accredited college preferred.
Experience: Minimum three (3) years of administrative experience required; healthcare industry preferred
