About the role

This full-time position supports the Infusion Department at our Mansfield, TX location. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with no weekends, call, or major holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices
  • Assess patient and family needs, providing teaching and instructional materials
  • Prepare and administer therapies under physician direction and supervision
  • Administer medications and blood products using correct dosage, route, time, and technique
  • Ensure pre-authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to therapy administration
  • Facilitate dose modification by assessing patients, labs, protocols, and consulting physicians regarding dosage adjustments and symptom management
  • Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line catheter devices
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatments provided
  • Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited professional nursing education program (BSN preferred)
  • Minimum 0-3 years of RN experience (entry, mid, or senior level candidates considered)
  • Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Working Conditions

Exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment may occur.

Physical Requirements

  • Full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination
  • Standing and walking for extensive periods
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 40 lbs
  • Corrected vision and hearing within normal range
