Infusion Registered Nurse

About the Role

Metro Infusion Center, affiliated with Metro Infectious Disease Consultants, is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for supervision and administration of infusion therapy at the clinic located in Florence, AL. Responsibilities

• Place Peripheral Lines (PICC lines) for new patients and teach infusion patients how to self-administer medications, documenting in the Medical Record.
• Review and chart daily laboratory results, passing information to physicians and/or patients as needed.
• E-prescribe prescriptions at the doctor's order and communicate with pharmacies.
• Receive and return patient and other telephone calls.
• Review EMR charts for next day's appointments, ordering lab results, consult reports, or notes as necessary, ensuring all required fields are documented for meaningful use.
• Respond to telephone calls, meet patients in the office, and schedule appointments as needed.
• Participate in quality assurance and educational activities as requested.
• Use clinical judgment to evaluate patient care needs and establish priorities.
• Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
• Facilitate good interpersonal communications within the facility.
• Support professional practice by adhering to Standards of Nursing Practice, JCAHO, state and local laws, and MIDC policy.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current AL RN license.
• At least 2 years of RN office practice experience, preferably in an infusion-related practice.
• Infusion experience.
• Chemo experience is preferred but not required.
• Proof of current vaccinations, including measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID-19.

Pay

$80,000-$85,000 ($35/hour + monthly bonus)

Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
