Duties
- Insert Peripheral lines
- Teach infusion patients how to self-administer medications
- Maintain excellent IV skills and document in Medical Record
- Familiarize with PICC lines and proficient in PICC dressing changes
- Review and chart daily laboratory results
- E-prescribe new prescriptions and refills at doctor's order
- Communicate with pharmacies regarding prescriptions
- Respond to telephone calls, meet patients on weekends, schedule patients to come to the office as needed
- Participate in quality assurance and educational activities
- Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment
- Assist and consult with the physician in the ordering of procedures and diagnostic tests
- Order laboratory tests for patients per provider's order or standing order
- Follow up on abnormal labs and medication refills as instructed
- Maintain patient records, billing documentation, and all other administrative records in the EHR
- Administer immunizations, TB screening, medications, and blood draws consistent with current guidelines and established protocols
- Support professional practice by observing standards of nursing practice, JCAHO, state and local laws, and MIDC policy
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Valid IL RN state license
- At least (2) two years RN office practice experience, preferably in an infusion-related practice
- Infusion experience, Chemo experience is preferred, but not required
- Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients
Pay
$90,000-$95,000/year ($30/hour + monthly bonus)
Schedule
4 days (32 hours)/week
