Infusion Pharmacy Prior Authorization Pharmacy Manager

Job Description

Direct oversight of pharmacists and certified pharmacy technicians, including training and validation of team’s skillset to successfully complete the prior authorization process
Review and evaluate medication requests in Epic to ensure compliance with established guidelines
Collaborate with healthcare providers, payers, and pharmacy teams to facilitate the prior authorization process
Communicate with patients and healthcare professionals to gather necessary information to successfully complete the prior authorization process
Make informed decisions based on clinical knowledge and prior authorization criteria

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
Work Experience: 7 years progressive work experience and 2 years management experience.

Qualifications

State licensure and/or professional certification requirement/s dependent on position.
Must have active SC pharmacist licensure upon hire, or within 90-days of hire.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
