Infusion Nurse Practitioner (PRN)

Metro Infusion Center (Affiliated with Metro Infectious Disease Consultants) is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner for supervision and administration of infusion therapy on a PRN basis at the clinic located in Evans, GA. Responsibilities

• Place and maintain peripheral IV catheters for infusion therapy needs with ongoing assessment of IV site.
• Prepare medication for IV administration as ordered.
• Administer IV therapy via electronic pump, troubleshoot pump alarms, and/or administer via gravity/dial-a-flow tubing.
• Document infusion charting and patient messages in the EMR system.
• Address patient questions or concerns related to adverse effects, side effects, diagnosis, and treatment within the scope of a mid-level provider.
• Use clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs, establishing priorities.
• Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
• Participate in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications with the facility.
• Agree to cover any clinic as needed per the direction of the Manager of Clinical Operations.
• Support professional practice by adhering to:
  • Standards of Nursing Practice;
  • JCAHO, state, and local laws;
  • MIDC policy.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure.
• Nurse Practitioner experience, preferably in an infusion-related setting.
• Infusion experience (required).
• Chemo experience (preferred, but not required).
• Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID-19. Requests for accommodations/exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis, consistent with applicable laws.

Pay

$80/hour with a guarantee of 4 hours per shift.

Flexible, PRN basis.
