Infusion Nurse Practitioner (PRN)

Metro Infusion Center (affiliated with Metro Infectious Disease Consultants) is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner for supervision and administration of infusion therapy on a PRN basis at the clinic located in Evans, GA. Responsibilities

• Place and maintain peripheral IV catheters for infusion therapy needs with ongoing assessment of IV site
• Prepare medication for IV administration as ordered
• Administer IV therapy via electronic pump with troubleshooting of pump alarms and/or administration via gravity/dial-a-flow tubing
• Document infusion charting and patient message(s) in EMR system
• Address patient questions or concerns related to adverse effects/side effects, diagnosis, treatment, etc., within the scope of a mid-level provider
• Use clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs, establishing priorities
• Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment
• Participate in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications with the facility
• Agree to cover any clinic as needed per direction of the Manager of Clinical Operations
• Support professional practice by adhering to:
  • Standards of Nursing Practice
  • JCAHO, state, and local laws
  • MIDC policy
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
• Nurse Practitioner experience, preferably in an infusion-related setting
• Infusion experience (required)
• Chemo experience (preferred, but not required)
• Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID-19)

$80/hour with a guarantee of 4 hours per shift.
