Infusion Nurse Practitioner (NP)

About the role
You’ll oversee patient care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and serve as a trusted resource for patients, families, and providers. Your expertise in infusion therapy will ensure every treatment is delivered with precision and care, making a real difference in patients’ lives.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including on-site and virtual supervision while administering infusions and injections.
- Conduct patient assessments, document SOAP notes, and monitor treatment responses.
- Educate and support patients and families through treatment expectations, potential side effects, and disease management.
- Ensure compliance and quality by maintaining accurate records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, reviewing nursing documentation, and upholding HIPAA and OSHA standards.
- Optimize clinical workflows by assisting with chart preparation and treatment planning to streamline patient visits.
- Collaborate with referring providers and cross-functional teams to enhance care coordination.
- Support operations and training, including inventory management, prior authorizations, and regulatory adherence.
- Work at multiple facilities within a designated market as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support patient care and organizational objectives.
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license and Registered Nurse (RN) license (if required by the state).
- Board certification through AANP or ANCC.
- BLS certification required; PALS certification preferred.
- Background in an ambulatory infusion center, outpatient specialty clinic, or similar setting is a plus.
- Ability to treat a diverse patient population, including both adults and pediatrics—Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) preferred.
- Strong IV and infusion therapy skills, including experience with specialty biologics, medication management, and emergency response protocols.
- Proficiency in clinical documentation and experience with EHR systems.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
