Infusion Nurse - Outpatient Infusion Suite

Responsibilities

  • Administer IVIG, biologics and other infusible or injectables as ordered.
  • Provide appropriate patient education.
  • Complete comprehensive nursing assessments.
  • Establish peripheral intravenous lines as well as accessing/maintaining central venous lines (PICC lines, Implanted port, Midlines).
  • Efficiently and timely submit clinical records.
  • Prepare and administer medications.
  • Triage infusion patient inquiries.
  • Display excellent patient assessment and interpersonal skills.
  • Communicate clearly and collaborate to optimize patient care and clinic operations.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance care delivery.
  • Adhere to safety and infection control standards in delivering patient care.
  • Manage AIC documentation, cleaning, and disinfection of patient care areas.
  • Manage AIC supplies.

Requirements

  • Current RN licensure by the applicable state’s Board of Nursing, in good standing.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Advanced certification in specialty areas of practice (e.g. CRNI, ONS, IgRN) preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 3 years nursing experience with background in infusion therapy.

Per Diem, 8 hours per month, AIC is open Monday to Wednesday, 8am - 5pm
No weekends or holidays!!

Qualifications

Must have knowledge and have used IV access devices to include: IV lines, accessing ports, and administration of infusion medications.
IVIG Infusion experience preferred.

Skills

Excellent patient assessment and interpersonal skills.
Clear communication and collaboration to optimize patient care and clinic operations.
Participation in performance improvement activities to enhance care delivery.
