Infusion Nurse

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a hybrid role, working both in our Columbia, MD infusion suite and as a Home Infusion Nurse. In this role, you will work directly with patients, performing various nursing duties such as intake, vitals, infusions, and injections, while ensuring accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Record.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document the health status of patients, including vital signs, medication reconciliation, and health history.
• Prepare patients for infusion or injection and deliver treatments according to prescribed protocols and guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and disinfected environment after each patient use.
• Demonstrate a commitment to improving the quality of patient care.
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and supplies.
• Educate patients and families about disease processes and treatment side effects.
• Collaborate with clinical and front desk staff to ensure the highest level of patient care.
• Auxiliary in audits and regulatory functions.
• Communicate with referring/prescribing providers regarding order clarification, patient status, and plans of care.
• Provide care in patients' homes using systematic critical-thinking and nursing judgment.
• Care coordination and management of infusion nursing care as ordered by the physician.
• Submit required documentation of care within required time frames.
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration and communicate urgent clinical findings promptly.
• Maintain privacy, security, and confidentiality of patient, staff, and organizational data.
• Foster a non-discriminatory work environment.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate strong work ethics.
• Travel to assigned territories as needed and be available for on-call responsibilities.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance and demeanor.
• Comply with all federal and state laws regarding confidentiality of protected health information.

Requirements

• Excellent IV skills.
• Experience and strong familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
• Proficiency with standard office software applications, including Outlook, Microsoft Office, and mobile applications.
• Strong leadership skills, self-confidence, and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
• Exceptional active listening skills.
• Current, active, and in good standing registered nurse license in the state of employment.
• Current BLS CPR certification.

• Experience in an infusion setting is preferred.
• A friendly personality with good people skills and team collaboration.

Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85,000.00 - $93,600.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

• Mileage reimbursed at federal rate if driving personal vehicle
• If routinely driving ~1800 miles/month, we can provide a company car and gas card. Maintenance is covered by company.

Pay and Schedule

This is a Permanent position based out of Columbia, MD. The pay range for this position is $85,000.00 - $93,600.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

The schedule is flexible, accommodating both the infusion suite and home infusion roles.
