Infusion Authorization/Benefit Coordinator

About the role
We are seeking an ambitious, friendly, positive, and compassionate Benefits Reverification Specialist to join our Infusion Team. The Reverification Specialist reviews the infusion daily schedule to ensure accurate insurance benefits and authorization information for each clinic/site. This role assists with coordinating and processing incoming referrals, patient reorders, and flipping of the schedule, while ensuring no insurance or manufacturer portal gaps for benefits. The Reverification Specialist is expected to maintain the schedule at least ten (10) business days ahead of the current day.
Responsibilities
- Obtain eligibility and benefit information from medical insurance companies
- Use insurance online portals for insurance verification
- Speak to insurance companies regarding specific drugs to determine coverage
- Answer incoming calls and handle inquiries
- Respond and comply with requests for information
- Complete other clerical duties as assigned
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Insurance eligibility and benefits experience
- Great customer service skills
- A neat, professional appearance
- Knowledge of computer and relevant software applications (NextGen a plus)
- Knowledge of general clerical procedures
- Working knowledge of healthcare insurance

Monday–Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
