About the role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an Infrastructure Technical Program Manager to support and deploy one of the world's largest and most complex telecommunications networks. The role involves executing a strategic plan to enhance business processes and deploy hyper-scaled cloud infrastructure, establishing a quality control system for North and South America (NASA), conducting pre/post-inspections for design validation, and piloting stakeholder communication for delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Reports to the GCID-FD Deployment Manager and updates regularly with Global Senior Management.
  • Serves as a key member of the GCID-FD team, driving overall Network Infrastructure strategy.
  • Manages vendor relationships to ensure timely deployments, monitors progress, and rates vendor performance using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Develops and standardizes quality management programs to track defects, mitigate risks, standardize root cause analysis, and implement KPIs to gauge vendor success.
  • Creates and maintains reporting mechanisms for the GCID-FD group and provides regular updates on program deployment to management and stakeholders.
  • Periodically reports on the overall network development program status across the assigned region.
  • Manages and tracks the deployment of approved network plans with internal customers and stakeholders such as technical business developers or construction vendors until the infrastructure is in service.
  • Manages multiple competing cross-functional projects/programs simultaneously, some on a global scale.
  • Interacts with engineers, technicians, vendors, and senior management on a daily basis.
  • Physically audits completed construction work, reviews fiber test results, and hands off completed deliveries to internal customers.
  • Runs meetings, creates and maintains timelines, and keeps large, diverse groups informed of progress and obstacles.
  • Anticipates bottlenecks, manages risks and escalations, and balances business needs against technical constraints.
  • Collaborates with security-regulated site access and approvals.
  • 25-40% travel required.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • 2+ years of software development experience.
  • 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management experience.
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of technical product or program management experience, 2+ years of software development experience, 3+ years of project management disciplines, experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.

Base salary range: $127,100.00 - $172,000.00 USD annually
