Infrastructure Solutions Architect - Richmond, VA (Hybrid Role)

About the role

Design secure, scalable infrastructure solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards. Serve as a Solutions Engineer on the Solutions Engineering & Architecture Team (SEAT). Evaluate, design, and guide implementation of both cloud and on-premises technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Office of Information Management (OIM), infrastructure teams, cloud engineers, application developers, security, data teams, and enterprise architects.
• Translate business needs into actionable technical designs and architecture.
• Ensure solutions are secure, interoperable, supportable, and resilient for long-term sustainability.
• Apply strong technical engineering expertise and architectural thinking across modern infrastructure platforms.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and source control (Azure DevOps, Gitlab).
• Follow IAM, data protection, and cloud security best practices.
• Operate within Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

• Multiple cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud and related cloud services (Azure App Service, AKS, Functions, Storage, Databases)
• Containerization and orchestration tools: Docker, Kubernetes
• Programming languages: C#, Java, Python, Go, Node.js
• Databases: SQL Server, Oracle, NoSQL
