Responsibilities
- Provide Infrastructure Architecture support for DHHS and DHHS AS Teams.
- Cook up and integrate system data models and design to facilitate data sharing, reduce redundancy, and optimize data usage.
- Collaborate with and offer technical advice to the Project Manager to draft project plans.
- Partner with data stewards to establish, communicate, and enforce Data Classification policies and standards.
- Create and maintain the metadata repository, including crafting descriptions of data, data structures, and data flow diagrams.
- Create, maintain, and verify system-level designs.
- Define and enforce data standards, procedures, and guidelines to ensure data integrity, reliability, quality, and usability through appropriate security, verification, and data management practices.
- Develop an Information Architecture Model that aligns with Enterprise Information Management.
- Create and maintain the statewide data model to enable integrated use across all applications.
- Create and manage configuration management standards, processes, and policies.
- Document application controls necessary to meet security standards.
- Ensure seamless data integration with internal organizations and external business and IT communities.
- Evaluate and recommend software fixes to resolve problems.
- Facilitate/lead team members for any application environment consolidation, migration, or integration efforts.
- Gather, organize, and track requirements and issues related to IT solutions.
- Lead in the implementation of IT solutions.
- Offer recommendations to application developers on software integration for existing software.
- Develop a data management strategy to ensure data security and appropriate data retention.
- Prepare for and provide an organized and professionally facilitated environment for SDT sessions.
- Provide data modeling and design guidance, including identifying data entities, data dependencies, and data relationships.
- Recommend solutions based on TIA of proposed infrastructure changes to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
- Analyze Enterprise Architecture Solution Patterns/Reference Models for specific agency application systems.
- Revise and validate project management documents, applying DTMB PMM and SEM to IT solutions.
- Revise and validate technical designs, specifications, and diagrams.
- Verify the architectural integrity of the application environment.
Requirements
- Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- Required Skills: Over 8+ years of RHEL experience, over 8+ years of Windows Server experience, exposure to Application Architecture, familiarity with AppServer like Weblogic / Websphere / JBoss, decent SQL and Oracle Knowledge, State Government Experience, over 3+ years of Network Administration experience, over 3+ years of SQL experience, over 5+ years of experience creating, updating, and maintaining systems documentation, experience using architecture and diagramming tools such as Visio, Lucid chart, and Draw.io to create detailed network diagrams, experience with Administering/architecting IIS webserver / Apache / WAF, Architecting redundant and scalable Database deployment for Oracle / MSSQL, experience with Securing Network / Web Application / Database, experience with any one of the Programming languages like C# / Java / Python / Bash / PowerShell, experience with CI/CD tools like Ansible, Jenkins, SonarQube, Arte factory, Veracode, experience with IaaS / PaaS / SaaS deployments / setup, knowledge on IaaC - Terraform / CloudFormation, Architecting Container Orchestration K8s / OpenShift, Cloudflare experience.
