Infrastructure Services Lead Project Manager

GDIT is seeking a Lead Project Manager to join our program supporting the biomedical research community for the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) at the National Institutes of Health.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee specific projects within the NHLBI IT support services program.
  • Ensure projects are planned, managed, monitored, and completed in accordance with NHLBI, NIH, HHS, and federal government policies and regulations.
  • Lead project teams through project lifecycles while adhering to established schedules, scope, costs, and risk management.
  • Facilitate regular communication with stakeholders and provide updates on project milestones, issues, and risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience managing multiple and simultaneous IT projects involving infrastructure, service desk, and cybersecurity.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring junior project managers.
  • Proficiency in Agile, Kanban/Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies and experience with project management tools like Atlassian Jira, MS Project, and Smartsheet.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance (MBI/T2).
  • US citizenship is not required.

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • PMP or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with NIH, government, or biomedical research settings.

Pay

The likely salary range for this position is $148,750 - $201,250. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.

Schedule

  • Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
  • Travel required: less than 10%.
  • Telecommuting options: remote work from any US location.
