Infrastructure Manager - Secret Clearance Required with Security Clearance
Job Summary
Ensure stable operation and efficient performance of client's enterprise networks and servers.
Monitor and manage all aspects of IT Network Operations and System Administration to maximize uptime and efficiency.
Provide leadership, project and activity planning, coordination, and day-to-day direction as needed; produce required deliverables and meet the relevant project milestones.
Manage IT teams and lead across network operations and system administration disciplines, with teams ranging from 6-10 members; assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure accountability.
Analyze current infrastructure practices to identify areas for improvement and collaborate with teams to implement approved improvements.
Lead change management processes for all infrastructure modifications, ensuring changes are reviewed, approved, documented, and communicated prior to implementation.
Ensure the development and maintenance of infrastructure documentation including network diagrams, system configurations, SOPs, and runbooks; provide regular status reports to program leadership.
Manage and forecast infrastructure capacity needs; develop short- and long-term plans to support scalability and mission continuity.
Provide oversight to evaluating emerging technologies in collaboration with government stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or other related discipline; equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated experience managing IT infrastructure in a Department of State, DoD, or other Federal or State government environment, including familiarity with government IT governance, acquisition processes, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience with enterprise virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere / VCF or Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with ITIL or equivalent IT service management frameworks; experience operating within formal change control processes.
- Excellent organization skills and attention to details.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment with minimal oversight.
- Proven ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships with government clients, team members, and vendors.
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or other related discipline.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Ten years of IT and management experience.
- Juniper and/or Cisco networking experience.
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Windows systems administration, virtualization and enterprise storage knowledge.
- ITSM/Change Management.
