Infrastructure Engineer Jr

Description

Seeking a Junior Infrastructure Engineer; however, this role will lean heavily toward customer service and end-user IT support. This position requires strong organizational skills, communication, and a customer-first mindset. The ideal candidate will maintain a high level of service while collaborating effectively across teams and business units.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support to internal business partners by answering technical questions via calls, email, and messaging
• Aid with IT asset management, including hardware inventory tracking and organization
• Look up hardware warranty information and support equipment lifecycle management
• Help coordinate and support hardware deployments, including imaging, software installation, and migrations
• Partner with internal teams to resolve issues and support end-user needs

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality
• Comfortable working with individuals at all levels and adapting to change

Preferred

• Internship or professional experience in IT support, customer service, or troubleshooting
• Call center or customer-facing support experience

Day-to-Day Work

• Provide hands-on support for hardware rollout activities (imaging, installations, migrations)
• Respond to technical inquiries from internal users via multiple channels

Team Environment

• Team of approximately 50 individuals supporting ~4,000 users nationwide
• Supports via walk-ups, calls, email, and instant messaging
• Non-tiered support model with strong emphasis on collaboration rather than escalation
• Communication and teamwork are critical to success

Additional Details

• Call volume varies daily (approximately 15–30+ interactions per day)
• Conversion salary: ~$71,000 if hired full-time
