Responsibilities

  • Update desktop environments and provide advanced troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with developers and design/build teams to support application changes
  • Monitor and troubleshoot server, network and database performance
  • Day-to-day support for all technology related to manufacturing operations including robots, PLCs and other automated machinery
  • Manage daily processing of business applications and resolve or escalate issues
  • Log and escalate incidents, aiming to reduce future escalations through documentation
  • Maintain technical documentation for procedures and instructions
  • Work 1st shift manufacturing hours (6:30am to 3pm) and participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call support schedule, including nights and weekends

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Information Systems)
  • 2-5+ years of experience in IT support or infrastructure
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with operating systems and file structures
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs occasionally
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis (Steelcase will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization and/or visas for this role)

  • Technical aptitude and proactive approach to learning systems
  • Knowledge of desktop hardware, operating systems, and configurations
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills
  • Experience supporting all technology related to manufacturing operations including robots, PLCs and other automated machinery
  • Effective communication across technical and non-technical teams

Pay

The starting annual base salary range for this position is $85,000 – $90,000. Salary is determined by factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations.
