Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer to develop and maintain enterprise Terraform modules that provision secure and compliant Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) IaaS resources. This role focuses on designing reusable, secure-by-design infrastructure patterns, embedding governance and security controls into infrastructure code, and supporting cloud platform standardization efforts in a regulated enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reusable Terraform modules for Azure and GCP infrastructure.
• Implement secure-by-default infrastructure patterns and reference architectures.
• Build and support Terraform modules that provision:
  • Virtual Machines
  • Managed Disks
  • Storage Services
  • Virtual Networks/VPCs
  • Load Balancers
  • Availability and Disaster Recovery configurations
• Integrate security controls, tagging standards, governance requirements, and compliance policies directly into Terraform modules.
• Collaborate with cloud security teams to implement infrastructure hardening standards and guardrails.
• Develop automated validation, testing, and deployment pipelines for Terraform-based infrastructure.
• Ensure infrastructure modules align with enterprise landing zone and cloud governance standards.
• Perform code reviews and establish Terraform development best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Create technical documentation, module standards, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in Azure and GCP infrastructure services, cloud networking, security controls, Terraform development, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience designing, building, and securing cloud infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Ability to build scalable, reusable, and secure Terraform solutions.
• Strong infrastructure security mindset and expertise in cloud networking and connectivity.
• Ability to establish engineering standards and best practices for Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering, architecture, and security teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise image lifecycle management and golden image pipelines.
• Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and infrastructure hardening standards.
• Azure and GCP cloud certifications.
• HashiCorp Terraform certification.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
