Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

Infrastructure Engineer (Contract) – hybrid role based in Charlotte, NC or Irving, TX. The position focuses on trader voice services and regulatory call recording infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide senior‑level technical expertise and operational leadership for critical trader voice services and regulatory call recording infrastructure.
• Guide L1 delivery teams and manage engineering work through structured Jira boards.
• Lead migration projects between recording platforms and consolidate platforms as needed.
• Support cloud and data‑center migrations, including on‑prem to cloud transitions of infrastructure and application workloads.
• Maintain enterprise infrastructure components such as networking, compute, storage, and data centers.
• Oversee lifecycle management activities including patching, maintenance, health checks, and decommissioning.
• Implement and support business continuity (BCP) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.

Required experience and skills

• 5+ years with NICE Trader Recording (NTR) or Verba Financial Compliance (VFC).
• Experience with Proteus, Continuity Replay, or Vodafone recording integrations.
• Trader voice infrastructure knowledge and unified communications or voice engineering experience.
• Recording platform migration and cloud migration experience, including data‑center migration.
• OpenShift or internal cloud platform experience.
• 2+ years with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V, etc.).
• Understanding of build/deploy pipelines, release management, and configuration‑management tools.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, compute, storage, and data‑center environments.
• Experience with lifecycle management (patching, maintenance, health checks, decommissioning).
• Understanding of business continuity (BCP) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
• 2+ years of information security experience.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience supporting regulated financial environments.
• Experience with on‑prem to cloud migration of infrastructure or application workloads.
