Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and upgrade DB2 and related software products, including middleware with mainframe and distributed components
- Troubleshoot DB2 subsystem problems and resolve them in a timely manner
- Customize software to meet user needs and lead projects to completion on schedule
- Cook up and schedule changes, requests, and incidents
- Coordinate and schedule changes, requests, and incidents
- Participate in Disaster Recovery and other mainframe exercises
- Provide 24x7 coverage and support, responding to calls for assistance in a timely manner
Requirements
- Strong z/OS Mainframe Systems Programming background, including SMPE
- Senior-level knowledge of DB2 and DB2 Data Sharing
- Experience working with vendors to resolve software and system issues
- Proven ability to install and maintain DB2 Program Product Installations
- Strong knowledge of REXX Programming
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
