Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

• Install, configure, and upgrade DB2 and related middleware software.
• Troubleshoot DB2 subsystem problems and resolve critical systems issues.
• Design, implement, and support complex software in multi-tiered, multi-platform environments.
• Participate in disaster recovery exercises and mainframe operations.
• Manage ticket queues and handle escalated technical issues.
• Collaborate with application development teams on middleware solutions and requirements.

Requirements

• Strong z/OS Mainframe Systems Programming background with SMPE experience.
• Senior-level knowledge of DB2 and DB2 Data Sharing.
• Experience with REXX Programming and vendor issue resolution.
• Ability to install and maintain DB2 Program Product Installations, including creating Implementation and Backout Plans.
• Experience with Service Now and JIRA.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
