Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Infrastructure Engineer to join our talented team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Kubernetes specifically RH OpenShift platform, bare-metal installations, K8 networking, CNI Cilium, storage CSI, and performance testing of OpenShift environments using Helm.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage OpenShift environments to ensure high availability and fault tolerance.
• Implement and upgrade Ceph environments to the latest production code releases.
• Integrate Kubernetes with Ceph object storage to provide S3-compatible storage services for cloud-native applications.
• Automate the migration of virtual machines into OpenStack environments using KubeVirt and KVM.
• Manage KVM-based virtual machines within KubeVirt to ensure efficient virtualization and seamless integration with OpenStack clusters.
• Perform performance tuning and optimization for OpenStack environments.
• Work with OpenShift Operators.

Requirements

• Experience with Kubernetes specifically RH OpenShift platform.
• Knowledge of BareMetal installations.
• Experience with K8 networking and CNI Cilium.
• Experience with storage CSI.
• Experience with performance testing of OpenShift environments using Helm.
• Experience with deploying and managing OpenShift environments.
• Experience with implementing and upgrading Ceph environments.
• Experience with integrating Kubernetes with Ceph object storage.
• Experience with automating the migration of virtual machines into OpenStack environments using KubeVirt and KVM.
• Experience with managing KVM-based virtual machines within KubeVirt.
• Experience with performing performance tuning and optimization for OpenStack environments.
• Experience with working with OpenShift Operators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure management.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies and architectures.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.
• Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or SaltStack.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Skills

• Express configuration as code (IaC).
• Experience with VMware, vSphere, ESXi, VCF, vRealize, Nutanix, NSX-T.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
