Infrastructure Cloud Engineer

Contractor position focused on designing, managing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure with a strong emphasis on security and best practices. The role requires a well-rounded knowledge of various SaaS and PaaS solutions, including Azure, AWS, and Azure AVS services.

Responsibilities

  • Cloud solutioning, maintenance, and deployment for Azure Cloud and Azure AVS
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform
  • Cloud infrastructure management: Virtual Machines, Azure Database, storage technologies, Virtual Networks, VMWare Site Recovery (SRM), Traffic Manager, Azure Automation, ARM Templates, Azure Load balancer/F-5 load balancer, and Azure AD
  • Perform infrastructure upgrades and updates to maximize system efficiency while minimizing downtime
  • On-premises infrastructure management: Active Directory, DNS, VMWare, firewalls, routing
  • Identity and user management solutions provided by Azure or 3rd party
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience with Windows and Linux-based operating system configuration, automation, and management
  • 5-7 years of experience with automation scripting including PowerShell and other configuration-as-code tools
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Systems Administration/Engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Desired certifications: VMware VCP, AWS CCP, AWS CSA
  • Large enterprise-level experience in storage technologies supporting multiple operating systems and environments
  • Proficient with systems performance tuning, capacity management, and replication
  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder), or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)

Physical Demands

Special Requirements

  • This position requires access to information subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR and EAR, or be eligible for an export license.
  • Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.
