Infrastructure Cloud Engineer

Contractor position focused on the design, management, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, ensuring security and adherence to best practices. Requires broad knowledge of SaaS and PaaS solutions, with expertise in Azure, AWS, and Azure AVS services.

Responsibilities

  • Cloud solutioning, maintenance, and deployment for Azure Cloud and Azure AVS
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Manage cloud infrastructure components: Virtual Machines, Azure Database, storage technologies, Virtual Networks, VMWare Site Recovery (SRM), Traffic Manager, Azure Automation, ARM Templates, Azure Load balancer/F-5 load balancer, and Azure AD
  • Perform infrastructure upgrades and updates to maximize system efficiency and minimize downtime
  • Maintain on-premises infrastructure: Active Directory, DNS, VMWare, firewalls, routing
  • Implement identity and user management solutions using Azure or third-party tools
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience with Windows and Linux-based operating system configuration, automation, and management
  • 5-7 years of experience with automation scripting, including PowerShell and other configuration-as-code tools
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Systems Administration/Engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Desired certifications: VMware VCP, AWS CCP, AWS CSA
  • Large enterprise-level experience in storage technologies supporting multiple operating systems and environments
  • Proficient in systems performance tuning, capacity management, and replication
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with small teams sharing broad duties
  • Strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives
  • Takes ownership and responsibility for current and past work products
  • Commitment to learning from mistakes and improving performance
  • Focus on teamwork and prioritizing team success over individual interests
  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder), or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)

Special Requirements

  • This position requires access to information subject to ITAR and/or EAR compliance. Applicants must qualify as a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) or be eligible for an export license.
  • Some positions may require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.
  • Ability to work in an office environment, including sitting and standing for long periods, and using a computer and telephone keyboard.
