About the role

You’ll lead the planning, execution, and closeout of transmission and distribution capital projects. You’ll manage project scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and risk throughout the project lifecycle. You’ll develop and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders and project partners. You’ll coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project controls activities. You’ll monitor project performance and implement corrective actions to achieve project objectives. You’ll review project budgets, forecasts, schedules, change orders, and contractor performance. You’ll facilitate project meetings and provide status reporting to client and Accenture leadership. You’ll ensure compliance with client standards, regulatory requirements, and safety expectations. You’ll identify project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies. You’ll mentor team members and promote continuous improvement and delivery excellence.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management
  • MBA preferred
  • PMP certification desired
  • Minimum 15 years of progressively responsible experience managing utility capital projects
  • Demonstrated experience delivering electric transmission and distribution projects
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, construction management, contract administration, scheduling and cost management
  • Superior interpersonal, leadership, communication, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Ability to build trusted client relationships and lead multidisciplinary project teams
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Central Louisiana

Qualifications

  • Experience with transmission lines, substations, and distribution infrastructure
  • Familiarity with Primavera P6, SAP, Maximo, Power BI, or similar project management systems
  • Experience supporting large utility capital programs
  • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training

Schedule

The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships. There is some in-person time for collaboration, learning, and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders, and communities.
