Infrastructure Architect (Specialist - System Management)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of high performance scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions including networking, storage, compute, and cloud technologies
• Create detailed architectural designs that align with application requirements ensuring safety and soundness in every layer of the infrastructure
• Provide strategic direction on cloud adoption, migration strategies, and optimizing resources for cost, performance, and security
• Collaborate with the security team to ensure infrastructure meets security requirements including access control, encryption, and network segmentation
• Evaluate and optimize infrastructure performance identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-effective solutions
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery solutions are in place to minimize downtime and maintain business continuity
• Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to align infrastructure with business goals and application requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure design, architecture, and operations
• Extensive knowledge of networking, storage, virtualization, cloud technologies, databases, compute, and security
• Hands-on architecture design, configuration, and fault tolerance experience across various technology products and platforms
• Experience with database technologies such as Oracle SQL, MongoDB, HSM, TDE encryption at rest
• Compute, storage, Windows, Linux, VMware, NAS, SDS, and object storage
• Gateway integration, API management, data power, NGINX, NetScaler, and PSG
• Analytics, big data, Cognos, Hadoop, Spark, and Teradata
• Container platforms such as OpenShift, PCF, Kubernetes, and Docker
