Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, troubleshoot complex technical scenarios, and implement strategic solutions that keep our network running seamlessly.
- Engage in hands-on technical work that requires creativity, precision, and a passion for technological innovation.
- Maintain safety and security standards during cabling and rack installation.
- Follow established hardware installation procedures and break-fix activities.
- Safely use material handling tools and equipment.
- Travel to or commute to active data center sites as required by business needs.
Requirements
- 2+ years of data center, critical environment, computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, or data center operations experience, or experience in similar technical roles.
- 2+ years of network cabling, fiber optics, and test equipment including VFL, power meter, and OTDR experience.
- 1+ years of computer networking experience, or experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Network Engineering), or experience in professional or military IT-related roles.
- Certification in a relevant field (CCENT - Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician, Network+, or CCNA - Cisco Certified Network Associate).
- Experience in a data center or other critical environment.
- Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
