Infra Delivery Install Technician

As an Infra Delivery Install Technician, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, troubleshoot complex technical scenarios, and implement strategic solutions that keep our network running seamlessly. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. You’ll support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to innovation. You’ll work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers.
Responsibilities
- Move and implement large enterprise equipment
- Install fiber and copper cabling and patch cabling between equipment
- Ensure proper safety and security standards are maintained during cabling and rack installation
- Follow established hardware installation procedures and break-fix activities
- Safely use material handling tools and equipment
- Travel within and outside the regional work area as required (reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license required)
- Participate in primary responder rotation and provide after-hours support as needed
- Work in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments
- Perform physical tasks including bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing, and walking for up to 8+ hours a day
- Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely
- Support data centers in various operational stages, including facilities under development (may require travel to established locations for training)
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, or Data Center Operations
- Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed (over 50 miles or less, depending on business needs)
- Willingness to temporarily work at alternative sites during training or until assigned facility is operational
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment, and troubleshooting methodologies
- Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
- Industry-standard certification (e.g., CompTIA, CCENT, or Network+)
Pay
$27.00 – $48.00 USD hourly (varies by experience, qualifications, and location).
